The CARE Veterinary Clinic officially opens in Clearwater

CLEARWATER – Clearwater Animal Referral and Emergency is locally owned and operated on February 18th. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the company had to cancel its opening and actually close the hospital for a short time. Since April 1st, CARE has opened its doors again.

Owner Dr. Kris Painter saw the need for a new facility in the area to care for the furry family members of the community.

“CARE is focused on the values ​​we all grew up with,” Painter said in a press release. “This includes trust, honesty and transparency. We will treat you and your pet the same as our own families. “

CARE is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is an extension of the veterinary practice of an animal owner for emergency and special treatment. It is not a facility that replaces routine veterinary visits. Current service offers include:

Pet Pal Animal Shelter, thrift store closes during the pandemic

ST. PETERSBURG – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pet Pal Animal Shelter has suspended adoptions on April 3rd.

According to a press release, the facility is equipped to accommodate both adoptable animals and animals in rehab. Pet Pal’s dedicated staff continues to come daily to look after the animals. The facility is not currently accepting any new animals.

Due to the State of Emergency and COVID-19, Pet Pal Animal Shelter has canceled all future offsite events, including Puppy Love, the biggest benefit of the year, slated for May 9th with a fundraising goal of $ 100,000. Pet Pal limits the number of volunteers who enter the facility on a daily basis. Animals continue to receive full attention, both in terms of medical needs and love. The Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic remains open around 1900 at 34th St. S., St. Petersburg. Walk-ins are welcome for the following reasons:

  • Wellness exams: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Vaccination Clinic: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

All operations are scheduled by appointment and on Monday and Friday. The front entrances to the clinic will be closed and opened as usual. Someone rings the doorbell. As per CDC guidelines, staff only allow one customer per pet. If a maximum of two people are allowed in the lobby after checking in at the front desk, the staff will ask the customer to wait outside or in their vehicle for their turn.
